The GHS Media Center has been super busy the last two weeks. Mr. Cone’s Chemistry classes came to the library for a lesson covering credible sources. Students were guided on how to locate good, reliable sources using the internet, online research databases, and of course books.
Students in Dr. Schultz’s Microbiology class came to the Media Center to research “Human Disorders and Diseases”. Students were given a guided tour of the Arkansas State Library’s resources along with UALR’s research databases. These students will be accessing information to assist them in writing a comprehensive report helping them understand the etiology, epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of a disease.
Finally, the history classes have filtered through the library for Banned Book Week. A week that libraries across America celebrate our freedom to read. Students were challenged to test their knowledge of various books in a Digital Breakout competition.
