Langston Chosen for FDA Professional Development

We are excited to announce that our own GHS teacher, Mrs. Jaclyn Langston has been selected as one of 17 high school participants from across the nation in the 2019 FDA Professional Development Program in Food Science. This partnership program, developed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), is an initiative which prepares middle level and high school science and family and consumer science educators to teach topically relevant lessons in food science to their students. This year’s program is the 20th consecutive year of this professional development offering, which is conducted by a Leadership Team of master teachers, FDA representatives, and the Graduate School USA. Mrs. Langston will be attending the program in Washington D.C. this summer, so that we can implement this upcoming school year in our Food and Nutrition classes. #GreenbrierProud
